Carlton has written articles for various magazines. He has led conferences on Church Growth, Evangelism Training, Sunday School, and Grief Recovery in many states, as well as Canada, Alaska and the Ukraine.

He has served and led associational Sunday School leadership teams in South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.

Carlton has recently finished “Finding Your Sweet Spot” a training workbook to use as a tool in a eight week witnessing training class with of the job training.
