Jim’s ministry passion is to guide persons toward a growing faith in Jesus Christ and to equip them to be disciple-makers engaged in expanding God’s Kingdom. He is currently the Minister to Adults at Dawson Church in Birmingham, AL. His ministry journey has included serving the local church in a variety of roles from Youth and Music Director to Associate Pastor for Education/Administration to serving as Sunday School Strategist with Louisiana Baptist Convention. Jim is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jim is married to the love of his life and soulmate, Dorinda, who is a recently retired Elementary Art Teacher. They have three children: Libby, Luke (Christa), and Abby, and three grandchildren: Moses, Birdie and Loxley.

Jim and Dorinda enjoy travel, camping, and exploring adventures with family and friends.
