Faith Sisters

A peer network for women who lead in Christian ministry

Purpose: To strengthen women in living their calling through connecting with each other in a variety of ways.

Why?
Women who serve as practitioners in Christian education are asking for an intentional connection with other women in similar situations.    Young women in universities and seminaries preparing for ministry are asking for intentional connections with women who are already serving in ministry.

Who?
The target audience will be women Christian educators (at all levels—churches, associations, state conventions, universities and seminaries, and national) who are responsible for helping people of all ages grow in Christ.

A church-based ministry will also be developed as an extension of this initial peer network that will focus on Christian women who work in the marketplace.

What?
Basically, FaithSisters provides opportunities for women Christian educators to journey together through the life of ministry as they network with each other, connect with others beyond their primary affinity group, learn together, fellowship with each other just for fun, and share ideas and resources.
At a deeper level, this peer network provides opportunities for mentoring, coaching, encouragement, and affirmation through an intentional support system.

How?
Primarily, FaithSisters is a virtual peer network operating from a living web site: www.FaithSisters.net (suggested url)

Face to face opportunities plugged in to events where FaithSisters participate with their ministry affinity groups such as BACE, LifeWay Kids Conference, conference center events, METRO events, state convention sponsored events, LW Youth Ministers events, Adult Ministry Institute, National Christian Educators Conference, etc.
University and seminary campus actions include possible chapter arrangement through BACE, intentional connections with women serving in churches resulting in mentoring and coaching relationships, as well as the virtual opportunities available for all of the FaithSisters.
