PURPOSE

New Purpose for BACE

Our new purpose states "This organization is a global network that assists practitioners responsible for helping others grow in Christ." Everything we do in the future will be based on a rich heritage of networking Christian educators. However, we are now embracing the global aspect of our ministry which stems from our increasing Internet presence and opportunities. We are also focusing on the ever-increasing significant role Christian educators have as practitioners responsible for helping others grow in Christ.

With God's guidance, we will bring this challenging role to life in many practical ways that will result in devoted followers of Jesus Christ living their lives in Christlikeness throughout the world. Alan Taylor's acrostic captures the new purpose and mission of BACE.

B is for Baptist
Baptist is our religious tradition in which Christian Education and Christian Educators are valued.

A is for Association
Christian Educators with differing vocational responsibilities and aspirations, but only one goal: to help Christians grow spiritually.

C is for Christian
Being Christian is to have a transformational experience with Jesus Christ. Such an experience leads to spiritual growth, enrichment and ministry.  

E is for Educators
These Christian Education professionals serve in various vocational capacities and connect with other educators through a network of liaison groups.
