Team Strategist for Church Wellness, Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware
Session 1: Prescription for Spiritual Health
Randy Millwood leads the Church Wellness Center and serves as a Coach with the churches of the Baptist Convention of Maryland and Delaware. He authored “To Love and To Cherish From This Day Forward…A Portrait of A Healthy Church,” and “A Portrait of a Healthy Church Assessment Instrument.” He works with pastors and churches in Leadership, Spiritual Transformation and Small Groups.
Dr. Millwood is also a member of the Academic Council and Faculty of Rockbridge Seminary, after having taught at New Orleans Seminary for about a decade and served over 20 years in local churches. He and his wife, Adele, have 2 adult sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 5 grandchildren. If Randy is not rooting for the baseball Orioles, he is readying for Christmas!
Dr. Rob Rienow
Founder, Visionary Family Ministries
Session 2: Prescription for Family Health
Founder of Visionary Family Ministries, a pastor, international conference speaker, and author, Rob Rienow came to know Christ at an early age. As a teenager, his parents divorced which fueled his desire to strengthen families. He completed his MA in theology at Wheaton College Graduate School; received an MDiv from Trinity International Divinity School; and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Rob Rienow’s most important ministry is loving his wife Amy and partnering with her to lead their seven children to love God. This led to Visionary Family Ministries, a ministry designed to inspire parents and grandparents to disciple their children, to help couples create mission driven-marriages, and to equip churches to build Bible-driven ministries. The Rienow family lives in West Chicago, IL.
Dr. Bob Whitesel
Author, Cure for the Common Church
Session 3: Prescription for Church Health
Bob Whitesel is Professor of Missional Leadership at Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a sought-after speaker, church growth consultant and award-winning writer on missional leadership, church change and church growth. He holds two earned doctorates (D.Min. and Ph.D.) from Fuller Theological Seminary where the faculty awarded him “The Donald McGavran Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Church Growth.”
He is the author of 11 books in 13 years, including an award-winning series on evangelism titled, Spiritual Waypoints: Helping Other Navigate the Journey (2010). The newly released Cure for the Common Church: God’s Plan to Restore Church Health (2012) has been hailed as “a much needed practical guide for setting a path for renewal and growth” that is “achievable, simple and wise in one stroke.”
